As we all know, Anzac Day is a truly appalling celebration of white male war-lust. The very fact that Australia even continues to repeat this offensive ritual is beyond me. But the nation keeps doing it for some reason. Really, it's like a dog returning to its vomit. (And that would have to be a domesticated dog, BTW. A wild one, being so in tune with Gaia, would never behave in such an uncouth way!)

And of course, there is much intolerance on show. No doubt you would have heard about this appalling tweet from the Head of the Australian Christian Lobby Jim Wallace:

"Just hope that as we remember Servicemen and women today we remember the Australia they fought for - wasn't gay marriage and Islamic!"

This was just sooo offensive in so many ways. Firstly, it glorified violence. Why are these violent males being honoured anyway, over half a century after they committed their crimes? And we all know that they weren't fighting for anything other than the love of fighting. That's what war is - it's just testosteroids running amok.

Why don't we subvert that dominant paradigm and honour pacifism in the face of war, hmm? Then we could all be French for a day instead.

And this idea that they didn't fight for a tolerant society that welcomed gay marriage and Islam. I mean, really!

Excuse me Jim, but you weren't there. What would you know? There could have been lots of gays and Muslims, all bravely risking (and sometimes losing) their lives for the war effort. I think you've got a touch of the Windschuttles there, because you're definitely trying to rewrite history!

He clearly needs to learn to be a lot more tolerant. You know, in the way that gay rights activists tolerate Christians; in the way that Muslims tolerate gays.

Jim Wallace is just so lacking in compassion. But it's no wonder. He is a Christian, after all. Sadly, appalling behaviour of the kind he has displayed is just what we've come to expect.

Clearly, Australia would be just so much more compassionate if all its citizens were (lovingly) forced to become atheists instead (except for the Muslims, of course).
